A Perspective for Dynamic Workflow Analysis: Role-based Workflow Models
نویسنده
چکیده
T n ( b bstract: Confronted with changing environments, dynamicity is inevitable and business rocesses are characterized by indefiniteness, which requires that workflow systems should be lexible and dynamic. Most of current workflow systems are activity-based, paying little ttention to people and their roles. However, it is noteworthy that ignore of roles maybe one of he main reasons for lack of dynamicity in most of present workflow products. In essence, a orkflow is goal-driven and it is roles and their coordination that attain business goals. oreover, exceptions are often attributed to and settled by roles. This paper discusses a ole-based dynamic workflow model, which has advantages over the activity-based workflow odel in terms of flexibility. The research mainly focuses on the correlation between roles and he flexibility of workflow systems. And a new representation of role-based workflow models is iven, integrating message sequence charts and ECA rules. ey Words: Role; dynamic workflow; message sequence chart

In this paper the design and implementation of fault tolerable architecture for scientific workflow engines is presented. The engines are assumed to be implemented as composite web services. Current architectures for workflow engines do not make any considerations for substituting faulty web services with correct ones at run time. The difficulty is to rollback the execution state of the workflo...

متن کاملA Novel Assisted History Matching Workflow and its Application in a Full Field Reservoir Simulation Model
The significant increase in using reservoir simulation models poses significant challenges in the design and calibration of models. Moreover, conventional model calibration, history matching, is usually performed using a trial and error process of adjusting model parameters until a satisfactory match is obtained. In addition, history matching is an inverse problem, and hence it may have non-uni...
